Coastal reflections with Patrick Barkham

Pen in hand and notebook at the ready: when author and journalist Patrick Barkham visited Dover and South Foreland Lighthouse a few weeks ago, it was not just to make the most of the stunning weather. Patrick, who is writing a book celebrating the National Trust’s Neptune Coastline Campaign and coastal work, was there to investigate what our coastline means to us. Howard Bristol, the National Trust’s intern working on the Neptune Coastline Campaign, took the opportunity to ask Patrick about his own relationship with the coast and how his book is progressing so far.
